I know this has been done a million times before, and it's probably a stupid question, but following yet another pointless visit to a VXR dealer to NOT fix my Cruise Control, they pointed out that my check engine caption is showing as a lean mixture warning. Now, is this the same as the O2 sensor problems, or not so much? I've had the check engine come on numerous times on every journey since I took ownership of the car, and the first time I asked about it I was told that it was normal for the 500's.
Also, why if the warning is to alert you to a lean mixture, is the engine management not putting in more fuel on it's own?
Thank you!
