I've got the usual complaint of concrete clutch peddle under load, just a few questions. Will an uprated clutch cure this indefinately, second what clutch to go for, ls7 or are there any others on the market. Cheers
LS7 will be fine at your power level.

roger whats the latest on the wortec clutch?? can you pm me price

but isn't the 'clutch slow to return and feels like concrete after some aggressive driving' problem down to the master cylinder allowing the fluid to get contaminated so it then boils when given some stick?
If so, then changing the clutch for a beefier one won't make the blindest bit of difference - will it?
Does anyone 'actually' know what this issue is caused by?

No one has actually confirmed this yet, can you get uprated master cylinders or improved/modified ones which are up to the job, if I'm going in to the gearbox I may aswell get it right 1st timeIf so, then changing the clutch for a beefier one won't make the blindest bit of difference - will it?

I don't think anyone does. Most common theory is heat soak into the slave cylinder and fluid deterioration.
I've not had the severe symptoms myself but do notice the pedal gets heavier after long periods of driving and no it is not my leg getting tired! I get a creak from the pedal when it is in this heavy mode.
Some more scientific diagnostics are required such as a load sensor to measure the pedal effort and a line pressure gauge. Determining what is happening on the rotating assembly itself is a bit more tricky. At least master cylinder effects could be ruled out.
I am pondering installing something as I came across a pedal force load cell by a company called Futek.

You dont need all that. Just fit an LS7 clutch - problem solved!

Ive got my theories, but i not about to put them on the internet! What i can say, is that it WILL solve your problem. We have done so many with this fault, you can be sure it will fix it. The master cylinder is not your issue.
