easy to fit especially if u have small hands,u need to drop front legs down to get the bolts in buts thats it really.was cheap to buy thanks to the fish, so good value.did it make much difference well im not the best driver ,but been to small sprint track today curborough for a free days playing and only 0.3 seconds slower than a 911 carrera 4 s faster than a 599 and amg 55, still a bit to much understeer or then too much sidways action, but it did sound the best and look well cool sidways, and cost a lot less to buy.auto box was way too slow or car would be quicker still, still looking to get it up to about 420 rwbhp and box sorted out, then look too changing suspension.think i,ll go n/a route just trying to find the best deal for the work,

No disrespect intended but I've driven an XK8 auto round silverstone. It was the first time I've taking an auto around a track before, and I have to say it scared the shit out of me. If your not on the power then you are truely "rolling" there's nothing going on under you, you are coasting and it's one of the scarist things I've ever done in a car, the only redeeming thing was, that it was a track day demo car , and I didn't mind covering the brakes to keep it either braking or on power. Not sure I'd want to push my own car that hard round a track for long periods.
It sounds like the VXR8 is capable of keeping up with some hot metal.

Are we talking different cars here ??

I was wondering whether the Monaro had a brace as standard - maybe not ?

The OP has a VXR8 so maybe they don't come with a brace as standard ?

That's the difference between a crap auto box and a fully programmable one! When you lock the TCC on decel' you have engine braking, if you want it. Only problem I would have with track work would be the after market high stall(and the lack of ratios)

The other crap thing about those Jags was the lack of an LSD.

Monaros have standard strut brace that clears supercharger. Most aftermarket ones, inc Pedders, dont clear the supercharger.

VXR8 dont have one at all.

I don't think the factory fitted one is much use really. It seems to be made out of electrical conduit?
