Aye... that'll be my car you've seen Roger. I was achieving around the same MPG as yours when it was running on the previous ECU map, which was on her when I bought her. At best 20-25 MPG.

The new map means more power and better MPG all round. Definitely spending much less on fuel. She also runs alot better and smoother - by utilising the full rev range and not running unnecessarily rich.

Cheers,
Kyle.

30 mpg yikes

Mine is around the 18 mark and that is driving fairly normally.

When driving at 50 with the cruise control on I get much better figures but may as well be in the vectra for that.

LOL. I did say that it was 30MPG+ on the motorway easily. Sub 20MPG during 'spirited' or town/city driving and around 30MPG on average. The combined can be as low as 20MPG if I have a heavy leaded right foot one week.

Mines tuned by Mark as well. Averages 18 to the gallon over 13000 miles. Have to say, never noticed any improvement in MPG, either before s/c, after s/c and after Mark's remap. Did notice a lot of difference in power though - perhaps thats why the milage didn't improve! L.O.L.

I phoned Mark up the morning after the remap. Said "Well, can't really notice the difference" Could hear the disapointment down the phone. Deliberately left a long pause before adding "Well, not below 2500 revs anyway"....Luckily I couldn't quite hear where he said he was going to put his torque wrench!
