Mate that was at Billing recently sent me this pic of a Monaro in "Arden Blue" - its got the 6l VXR front but 04 VXR wheels and the wings have the vents in them so quite an unusual car

I like that !! I was looking at one of those Hyundai coupes (not to buy!) and they have vents/grill in the wings too, looks pretty good - very M3.

Looks like hes got some rather special seats in it too.

Maybe it was a damaged one that somebody repaired and gave it a spray at the same time ?

I take it the VXR front is a straight swap for a CV8 front ?

well spotted on the seats, hadn't noticed that from the photo before you mentioned it.

Someone has been shopping. The vents are VZ SS vents.

You can buy complete VZ SS wings from JHP with the side markers or you can just buy the side markers and adapt your current wing to hold them.

How about this:

A bit "fast n furious" but it's interesting how different looks can be achieved. Note that the lack of rear spoiler gives the car a far more triangular, purposeful rear profile. I guess those rear arches are GRP, I wonder how much it would be to get them fabricated from sheet metal?

I know I said I'd never do it but I'm running out of things to modify and it might fix my traction issues also

I know there was that other thread on rolling and flaring the arches but that takes it to the extreme !!

It is a little OTT I think !!

Think the wide arch kit is a bit ott, but Tubbing and Arches like Harrys might allow for some nice sizes on the back biggrin

It was at Santa Pod for the PV weekend as well - I can't remember but I looked inside and I'm pretty sure it's a 5.7 VXR due to the wheel and trim. Certainly interesting.

Do quite like the colour on the car, wouldnt have done it myself but think it works. Certainly spending alot on it to alter the appearance!

As far as I am aware, the blue car at Billing is a rebuilt damaged car, so presumably the spec is as he wants it. I can't recall what the base car is though. The owner works for a Vauxhall dealer in Essex, and it is not his first such project (though it may be his first Monaro).

GSE and I looked round it on the Autobahnstormers stand where we were also parked, but didn't get a chance to speak to the owner; he was only there about 10 minutes.

They did sell a limited edition CV8 here with the vented front guards, our guitarist has a silver one. Might take a pic next week.
