There is a plate mounted just behind the rear silencer (between two three bolt flanges)

Just remove the bolts and slid out the plate and refit with the new one.

It can be done on the drive but it is much easier if you can get the car up in the air.

Also gets some WD40 on the bolts in advance to help get them off.

If you can stretch the extra money, go for the electronic switchable for that "instant copckpit giggle switch" action

I've been under mine a couple of times it can become a pain in the arse switching it over. But then I do have the older style where you have to take the baffles off and replace with straight through pipes.

Maybe Caspy will hook me up with an electronic kit for xmas

Oh and Caspy, if for some reason you turn up at the South East meet, I sill owe you 25 queen sheets.

Anyone tried converting the old style ( 04 type) to switchable?

Really i don't get why any one would want it on quiet. The sound is awesome Roger gave us the silencer plates to take home on the day we had the cat back fitted. I did use one of them once It was perfect for hammering the lid back on a tin of gloss paint Thanks Wortec

higgster5.7, you could try getting some electric cutouts from america and then sticking the mid boxes back in.
