Not sure about this what do others think
Discussion
I know I should have laid out for a nostril bonnet when Roger had them cheap but I missed the boat on that one. The 2004 flat bonnet has grown on me But every now and again I think it needs a power bulge. It might be t'internet bo**ocks but I read on one of GTO forums that the nostrils came about as the Americans claimed that "your can't have a proper Pontiac GTO without scoops".
Anyway, I saw this over at Carbon Mods and wanted to see what it would look like on the car.

The scoop is beautifully made of carbon fibre and the original idea was to cut the bonnet for additional cooling, and then smooth the scoop into the bonnet, and then repaint the bonnet with just a wide stripe of bare carbon fibre running down the middle of the scoop. Fortunately before I've done anything I'm having second thoughts. What do you thinks guys?
Have I had a taste by pass? Am I a bit dazed and confused after walking into the Chav tree?

Yeah, I know what you mean, but I've explored this bonnet already and by the time you've paid shipping and taxes it ends up the thick end of £700 plus painting.like this?

not sure about the vent, but your wheels look nice, may i ask how where you got them done?
Got the wheels done by these guyshttp://www.thewheelspecialist.co.uk/File/mancheste...
They had a really nice choice of finishes and were pretty well priced.
When they do the louvres what do they look like afterwards ?
By that I mean have they damaged the panel or just cut a strip in it ? Does it just need painting afterwards without any extra bodywork ?
They louvres look like they are curled at the edges, have you got any closer pictures ?

They are stamped in so you will need to paint the bonnet after. The edges are curved so they radius back into the main skin smoothly. If you speak to the guy you basically drive yr car doen there and let them remove the bonnet, an hour or 2 later its done. You get charged per stamping but its not alot. I would have gone for more but you would need to remove some of the framework supporting the top outter skin and I really didnt want to do that. As for how effective they are - very IMHO.
