Just had a great morning being taught how to set up and use my Tig plant by VO03UTE (Dave).

He's a brilliant welder and the whole experience was quite inspiring. Thanks for that Mate.

Now looking forward to putting together a new stainless cat back, with all the various bits I have been collecting for some time.

1.3/4" Wortec LT headers. 2.5" by pass pipes. Stock HSV H-pipe and middle boxes (these are straight through), back boxes replaced with 10" shorty straight throughs. All dual 2.5" back from Wortec 3" collectors. Unfortunately, not loud enough, and meets emissions as well?

You have to be very careful what you do and how you do it. IIRC, Kiwifraser altered his cat back and lost horsepower over the stock system.

You want to keep velocity up. But not by a small pipe. Obviously large area's will slow the gasses down. Backpressure is always bad.
This is always a good read http://www.superchevy.com/technical/engines_drivet...

If you are making it up your self mate, why dont you put a dump pipe in there with one of those electric QTP valves?
Then you can drop the gas right after the collector for track action and when visiting Wolfy.
