Just changed my clutch fluid and was surprised to see black bits in the bottom of the reservoir. It was only done at the fish two or three months ago. I guess this will be down to the drag racing???? Gonna change it each month from now on. Is that what everyone else does??

I doubt it Bonnie. Fluid does seem to become contaminated quickly so changing it regular will not be a bad idea.

Also - does anyone remember what size box spanner you need to undo the slave hex bleed bar inside the bell housing...?

It goes black regardless, so I wouldnt worry.

I use a 1/4" drive 11mm socket for bleeding the clutch. It does get messy.

3/8" drive would probably fit on your cars though, mine is bloody tight !

Simply emptying the reservoir and filling it again will never flush the fluid.

To do that it must be properly bled.

Cant say I ever worry about the black bits though, nor have I experienced any problems from it.

Is it easy to bleed Steve? Want to keep it clean.

without stripping the clutch out its a good compromise. Empty, fill, pump through, then empty and repeat until the sts all gone. Takes more fluid but where is the slave on these?

I think Roger suggested to Monkfish/Rapid to put the remote slaves in during a clutch swap. Have to say selling the honda I will miss out on an engineers car. Everything is accessible within minutes and even has a remote slave
