Having just tried to take my front wheels off as I need to refurb them and put two new tyres on (thanks to the guy that pointed them out as being down to the markers today redface ) I put the space saver on but it wouldn't fit as I have the VXR brakes.

CV8 car with the VXR brake set up.

What do I do now just find a couple of space saver wheels off a VXR ??!!

Bloody hell !! mad

OK, rear wheel off, put on space saver, front wheel off, put on rear wheel, one front wheel ready to be refurbed and new tyre fitted.

Take off other front wheel, prop up with a few bags of potatoes, other front wheel ready to be refurbed and new tyre fitted.

Just thought about that in the bath.

I've got 6.0 VXR brakes on my CV8, and the space saver didn't fit over the rear calipers either. It might look like it does but the wheel won't turn when its tightened up. I ended up welding a spacer (the centre of an old disc) inside the space saver which allows it to clear.

Hi Simon

from memory I am sure I have put the space saver on the rear during my time with the car, never drove it though!
