why the hell do the but a20foot one piece pipe in such a small area then wrap it round absolutely everthing in the engine bay, i really thought at one point this pipe must be holding my engine together lol.
all the aluminum pipe has corroded next to the swage fittings drivers side where the p clip holds them. is this a common problem and is it caused by the p clip. my drive way looks like ive slaughtered the predator

If its an 04 then i think aircon pipes are a common fault. Ive had mine done from the fish cost £260 odd for just the pipes.

is this a common problem on all monaro's? mine seems to be leaking from somewhere behind the rad, need to get it on a ramp for a better look.

According to the fish it happens to 04 cars as a stainless clip rubs against the ali aircon pipes and over time leaks. The common place i was told was at front of car near rad

p clip is on the offside just before the ally pipe connects to the rubber

wooohooo 60 quid and the pipes are all repaired with new air con hose and swaged fittings that i can undo to aid refitting. baaaaaaaaargain

Mobile01 where did you get your pipe repaired? I had mine replaced under warrenty from the fish, would have cost £450 if i had to pay.

hydraulics pipe specialists, even says aircon on the new hoses so im chuffed. only took me 40 mins to take it all off so now its splits in to 2 pieces should be easy, ill take some pics tomorrow when im refitting it

good to know, hopefully i won't have any further problems but if i do at least i now know of a different approach to the problem

I have a 3rd party warrenty type thing for my car, i had to pay for the work upfront and then the warrenty company pay me.

Does anyone know if this P clip situation is the same on the '00 GTS (VT11)? Also is the pipe work the same/interchangeable with the later cars, it looks very similar from the photos.

well missed the aircon place yesterday so got impatient and bought halfords air con in a can lol
well fook me with a witches tit i have air con and its bloody cold lol
