Well there we were sitting on the garage forcourt trying to sort the SatNav to work on post codes which it does not, even though the disc sleeve says it does, well we will get to that one later.

We were sitting for about 15-20 mins with the ingnition on trying to sort the above, gave up on that one ,so off we went home to park it up, went to shut drivers window and would not move, you coud hear the klick when you pressed down but no noise at all when presed up, the passengers window makes a click going down and up, so I thought a wire had dropped off or something, lifted bonnet to check fuses etc and the fuse box was red hot, could not keep hand on it for more than a second so made a call to my friendly auto sparks who said he would pop in on his way home in an hour or two, so R8 left outside on drive with window open, he turned up and went to show him the problem and blow me the window went up, so what do you think is the problem or has someone had the same problem, help please.

Andy

Maybe something in the fuse box just got too hot for a while?
Sounds like you need to start preparing your list for the first service visit.

Thinking the same as me mate, always a worry when you want to lock it in car park and the bugger will not close.

Were other fuses hot or just the window?

On it's own, it shouldn't make a difference however I can't remember if there are any realys there which may be affected by lots of heat. This should have cooled down when you got home though...
