Does anyone know of the differences in the TCM remap that these 2 offer.

Wortec is £100 more and just wondered if the maps are different, is one better than the other?

Does anyone know whether the remap affects normal, sport and manual mode?

Cheers

Good questions I think you'll have to get details from the Tuners themselves, I've had mine remapped by a tuner over the pond and all modes were changed, cost was $399. There's also tuners in Oz offering remaps.

wortec map will have been pin protected (should have been) anyway so unless there is a way to override the protection.

Custom mapping the 38/40 ecu isn't as straight forward as the old ones either it appears :'(

didnt say it couldnt be done, the off the shelf maps from wortec are good, custom just means fine tuned. Only way to see the difference is to have both maps, copy of hp tuners/efi live and a dyno. Do 3 runs on each map to see differences

Well even if Walkinshaw could have put a map on it, they probably (and rightly felt) there was no point if Roger had done a custom or a fixed wortec map. If it aint broke....

same argument, there was probably little if any benefit in putting a different map on from the one 2 years ago. A good map stays good unless there are major changes

A Wortec map will NOT be the same as a Walkinshaw map. Both TCM and PCM.
