Well the cv8 has very long gearing, more so than the 06 and 05 vxrs. The 06 car (I beleive) has a 3.4 diff but the gear box ratios are shorter which equates to faster acceleration, equiv to a 3.9 rear diff. All the cars can have new shorter diffs on the back but for Mel if she puts a 3.91 it will give similar over all gearing to having the 06 cars gear box. Makes it quicker. The 04 vxr had a 3.7 diff which is felt by some to have been the best comprimise.
The difference between the 3.4 and 3.9 diff is a seat in the pants feel of 20 to 40 rwhp even if its not actually adding any power. It lessens top end but improves all in gear acceleration

No mate we're nearly there mate. Just want it to go a bit quicker. Got the sound we want and the braking power. Need RRP to pull it in a bit tighter then that's sorted
Other than this cam Col wants
Oh and the suspension i want

Looks like you'll beat me Mel!
Unless the Fish have started selling Leather Sofas, Curtains, Carpets, Doors, Skirting, Architrave, Paint, Wallpaper and other essential housey type stuff, its on hold for me - we've gutted all of our downstairs rooms back to the brick, so might be a little while before the Ro gets any attention!
Will be nice to hear how you get on with the diff though, - that might secure it for me as a xmas pressie!

) Thats on the next visit which i'm hopping will be within a week or two. Just some 3.9 gearing bits (or something) delaying it. Cant wait
