if you are able to go over towards Ringwood, on Matchams lane along side the Somerset garage is Premier Refinishers. Dave is a top repair specialist and has done quite a few jobs for me in the past. Telephone 01425 482799.

Maybe its the 'wandering' effect these cars seem to have at times ?? I know mine use to get caught in the indentations in the road a lot and use to drag me towards the kerb at times, have had some new front tyres fitted recently and its vastly improved things.

VXR8 doesn't get guided by the road surface anywhere as much as the Monaro did.

Its the super skinny side profiles of the tyres, they give zero protection, I had the same size tyres and profiles on my old BMW 5 series, I kerbed the rear wheel against a drop down kerb within 3 weeks of having brand new custom wheels fitted, I was gutted as you can imagaine, and I give kerbs super sized gaps from my wheels 99% if the time frown

don't think I've hit a kerb yet with the Monaro but the wheels are looking like I drive up and down the road hitting every couple of yards. Convinced its the state of the roads and the potholes that are doing the damage, know for a fact the first set of marks came from a road up near loch lomond that didnt have any kerbs.

With the Astra I did find I tended to turn in a bit sharp when I had one with 18" wheels but the current 17" have remained completely unmarked for over a year. So maybe its a combo of factors, wheel size, tyre width, potholes and bad driving.

Its real bummer, I firt noticed marks on one wheel after about a week on my 'new' ex-demo VXR8. I didn't recall catching anything, maybe one of the previous drivers did. Since then I've caught the kerb more than once. I used to laugh at people who did that (hangs head in shame and embaressment)
