Well, i'm getting a Spotspac fitted tomorrow and i'm going to get it set to the 'quiet' setting. After watching peoples videos on Youtube i think the 'loud' setting sounds too harsh and raspy - much prefer the deeper muted tone personally. smile

Can anyone tell me what is involved in the manual switch from quiet to loud? Having looked at some pictures, I'm guessing the exhaust comes with two sets of plates, that are inserted inline just before the backboxes. One set of plates are presumably just spacers (i.e. full bore, no restriction) and the others would be blanks or plates with a small hole or restrictor. Is it a three bolt flange?

You have it on the nail.. three bolts, change plates (quiet are solid, loud have a whacking great hole through them), simple as that.

thanks for confirming that - which leads me to my next question.......

I'm presuming that these http://dmhperformance.com/ecutout.htm would simply slot in as an alternative the supplied plates? I suspect that these are the exact same items that Wortec use - maybe someone could confirm this? What size would I need, is it 2.5"

Given the exchange rate, and the fact I'm over in the states in a months time, the £200 DIY price compares pretty favourably to the dealer option! Sorry if I sound like a right tightwad - but every penny is a prisoner right now!

Has anyone tried drilling a hole in the quiet plates?
Would a hole, say 1 inch in diameter, produce a volume somewhere in between the 2 extreme options of quiet or loud?
If no-one has tried i may have an experiment with it myself.
