Hi All,

Hope everyone is having vehicular joy. I know I am. However, tonight my missus broke the passenger seat. She'll strongly deny it, to the point where i'll probably be in much pain. I digress, the seat back isn't moving anymore although the motor still works and if i look behind the plastic cover on the side of the seat I can see a little green light flashing but the seat back won't move. Just wondered if anyone knew of a solution.

I don't know exactly where it is you need access, but I know the panel on the back of the set(where the pocket sits) comes off. Then you have access to quite a few bits inside the seat,- TBH I'm not sure if you can reach what you need from there. Be warned though that if you remove the panel you will break 2 white plastic clips so make sure you get some new ones first. Otherwise you'll end up like me driving around with the panels in the boot waiting for the clips to come by post, lol

If its a Monaro Monkfish had a passenger seat in from another car. Don't know if they still have it. That may be cheaper than getting it repaired. It was for us (back seats)

I'm surprised nobody has asked how it was broken yet and why did it need to be reclined so far hehe Well? biggrin

My passenger seat base (56 plate VXR) won't tilt anymore - any ideas on this fault?

I kind of don't care as I have no intention of sitting in it, but it does need looking at somewhen

I think the teeth on the mechanism are worn. Got mine to re-engage today. WOOT! Won't touch it anymore.
