aux input for vxr8 head unit

[vr6man]

has anyone come across any adapters that connect to the rear aux input on the vxr8 ?

i know you can plug something i.e an ipod etc into the jack on the front but notice that blaupunk do an ipod adapter ? wondered if this would work with the head unit i.e plug in the back and let you browse content etc, or, whether you can use the screen without having to have the rear ceiling mounted dvd player ? i.e have an input from a separate dvd player in glovebox etc.
