Hello one and all.

Following a post on here a few weeks ago searching for an 04 VXR, Brian (aka The Muppet) kindly agreed to sell me his car. Well, after a couple of weeks driving her, sorting out a few stone chips and swirl marks then washing, machine polishing and waxing her I thought I would post some pictures up.

A few swirl marks still to get rid of from the passenger rear quarter but the DA wouldn't remove them and I am waiting on some new pads for the rotary

Only other thing left to do is extend the garge by 50cm to get the doors closed but thats next weekends job

I'm sure my seller's remorse will fade at some point....

My favourite

My favourite too bud. When I sold my CV8 nearly 2 years ago Roger at Monkfish asked if I would get another. I told him that I would be back with an 04 VXR - preferably in black. I remember him wishing me luck in finding one

- Beauty is in the eye of the beholder stiggy. The VXR8 may be better dynamically, but it is an ugly er and that I just cannot get past

I have every intention too matey. Unfortunately I have had a bad year health wise so may not get to enjoy it anywhere near as long as I would like, but right now, I am as happy as a pig in the proverbial

In which case I recommend at least a 427 engine to ensure maximal enjoyment while you are behind the wheel. Preferred displacement is 454 cubes (ie) 7.4L

If I could afford it mate I would. I would dearly love to s/c it but by the time I have saved enough to do it I won't be able to enjoy it so for now, I will just keep driving

Paint touch up pen/stick, wet sand and lots of polish.

I need to go over it a couple more times but so far I have managed to go from

to

I will get the whole bumper resprayed as I think it has received some paint in the past. It looks as if it was sprayed in damp conditions as the lacquer is cloudy. If you look at the first picture where my refelection is in the bumper it looks flat. I have wet sanded it and machine polised as much as I could but it is still flatter than the rest of the car.
