Having looked at a few VXR's, seems that on the higher mileage motors, seat bolster wear on the leather seems pretty bad, anyone else experienced this?

Also, how do servicing costs fare on this car? (6.0 litre)

Cheers for any help.

Seat bolsters will wear because its a bloody tight fit in the garage and its a squeeze to get out of !!

I have heard that there are a few lardy arse owners out there. You'll have to thank me for keeping the average weight down another time smile

Shame I can't say the same for the age average.............

The interior is very good i think. Not cheap and tacky like in those VXR8 things

Seat wear of that sort is common on all coupes with that sort of seat. I've seen it many times and has nothing to do with the over all quality of the interior. It's just very hard to avoid.

So, if they are worn (and my driver seat is, 38k miles) then what can be done (bar replacing the seat). Does anyone know of a decent upholsterer, can you get the leather to match etc?

There was a thread on here a while back about Liquid Leather (http://www.liquidleather.com/). I've got one of the kits to restore the drivers seat but I've yet to try it. You can also get something to match the colour to get rid of any scuff marks.

I have used a colour dye/repair kit before on a TVR I use to have. Its just like boot polish really, just rub it in and looks a lot better. Depends if it is just scuffed or worn thin.

I'm sure a good upholstery could match it up.
