What will you be doing to the car before checks wise before you run at Thunder Road?

Obviously tyre pressures, oil and water levels but anything else?

Took mine out the other day for the first time in a while and had a slight wheel wobble at 71-72, as ive never been above about 120 in it im not wanting any nasty surprises at 150ish (hopefully gets that high!), think a trip to the tyre place is a good idea!

Oil, Coolant, Washer Bottle, Clutch fluid (only if driven hard already), Tyre pressure/condition, Wheel nuts, Brake pads, Tracking (only if concerns about tyre wear).

Oh well worth a try! Be a very nice mod, harks back to the old Aston twin S/C, yours is a slightly bigger charger than mine aswell, be good to have a small/big one like a lot of the new turbo cars are doing, mmmmmmmmmmm

When you say clutch fluid but only if driven hard whats to look out for with it? Mines not been driven hard at all by me but who knows with the previous owner!

As a daft tyre question I have P-Zero Rosso's on the front with about 3mm of tread and Nero's on the back with 7mm of tread, as im not going to be going wild off the line im thinking of putting the stickier and grippier tyres on the front for the high speed braking at the end of the run, this a better idea?

There's plenty of room for stopping, even in a Monaro.

Thats good to know! Had bad thoughts about going off the end of the run way sideways at 100mph or something!

The neros have more grip, so maybe wise to leave them on the rear. Safer to keep the lower grip on the front.

Good point forgot about that, does it have to be a full face with a visor style?

Doesn't have to be full face helmet, but I certainly prefer them. Best find paper licence, but at worst I think photo part will suffice.

As a minor point how much fuel will ppl have in the car for arriving at the event?Dont want a full tank for obvious weight saving reasons but dont want to run out either!

there is a shell station nearby, you will want a full tank. At these speeds and distances weight becomes an irrelevance. You will however want tyres hard as the extra psi will reduce rolling resistance.
