It is indeed 10000 mile intervals....I would recommend oil change after first 1000miles
I wouldnt go shoving the best synthetic oil you can get in it though, just change the mineral oil you have a few times during the first 5 or 6k then go over to the good stuff, this way your engines internals get nicely bedded in where as with top oils the bores can be glazed.
