Bathurst

Recently swapped me trusty old impulse blue R8 for a new Bathurst non S (Evoke) The LS3 feels much sharper than the LS2 and the Walkinshaw mods have transformed the car and realy suit it. It's brilliant.
Now comes the downside, I've bashed it twice, the clutch judders and the gearbox rattles.
Guess what my build number is.

Yes you are absolutely correct..........13 of course.

If anyone is after an Impulse Blue 07 reg with 25K miles my old one is for sale at Brindlys of Cannock. Can recommend it, it's a good un.

Bloody hell About time as well It would have been you i spotted up there a few weeks back then(or someone driving your new car) on the way through Rhuddlan heading towards the A55. It still has the black stripes yeah???Dark haired guy

good to heard from an owner who has had both engined cars and the bathurst at that.


did you go for an exhaust?

Hi Mel, Didn't spot your post on gassing station as I don't frequent there much. It would have to be one hell of a coincidence for it not to be me on the day you mention as I've not seen another Evoke round here. Only thing is my stripes are white and I used to be dark haired, but now I match the stripes.

That is also a coincidence my old car has ended up so close to you. I sold it to them as a cash deal after they spotted it in the classifieds. There is a pic of it in the classifieds under their name. Needless to say I did a lot better by selling it to them than part xing it with you know who. Speak to Graeme Reed if you are interested he's a top bloke.
You are ahead two spots to you, me nil, well I did spot Col on his own one Sunday in Prestatyn.
ETA Yes very happy with it. I'm sure any niggles will be sorted eventually.

Didn't go for the exhaust, maybe if I had I wouldn't hear the gearbox rattle.
Did try the supercharged S model but decided that bloody shriek would drive me batty after an hour or so. Did you go for the supercharger and exhaust.

Also had two 5.7 Monaros, the 6.2 motor is the best imho of course.

Bit miffed I'm not allowed in your club. I'll have to start me own.

ETA Sorry mate completely misread your post, I take it now that you also have the non S model so no need to start another club.
