Hi folks LS1 transplant well on its way. As I have the Monaro here to get what I need for the conversion I would like to fit the total fuel pump assembly in my tank. The Monaro unit appears to be in a plastic swirl pot - is this the case? Has anyone expirenced fuel surge problems when running on low fuel loads during track work?

do a bit of research on the Oz and US forums (GTO) - there are numerous solutions to the fuel problem from the cheapest (drill a couple of holes but keep tank more than 1/4 full) to all kinda expensive stuff (ask HarryOz about his custom fuelling setup for example). Really just going to come down to what budget you're working with - certainly plenty options.

Yeah, and dont even ask about oil surge. They have a front located sump. God knows why and a small capacity. Under acceleration pickup can get high and dry. Very common problem. Lots of dead engines..
Thats why us superior designed vxr8 owners, just laugh at all the dead monaro's exploding and failing.
