without a maff the car will not run, unless you have it tuned that way.

you can go down the maffless route, but its more expensive and the tuners need your car a bit longer.

depends what you want si, if your after silly power id go maffless

i would like to get a little more power not wanting big gain just would like to push the car to about 400bhp RWHP.

What would be the best way to gain this power?

Actually it will run, but like crap as it will fail into limp mode.

If you have an LS1 you can run an 85mm Maf or even one of the larger diameters around. As mentioned depends on what you want to do.

In an LS1 the only way to get 400rwhp is with some proper mods. (ie) Head, cam and supporting mods, or a gay forced induction setup. Messing with the maf wont cut it.

Do some searching on ls1.com.au for 300rwkw setups which is 400rwhp. Fast intake, proper full exhaust, otrcai, heads and cam will get you there.

Either way you will need to get your wallet out. I had my LS1 up to 290rwkw with a small cam and cheap heads, a larger cam and better heads would net 400rwhp easy.

right first thing first. Get the car on a rolling road, I know every rolling road can give u different reaings so if i keep using the same road then iam getting the same result (hopefully) Good news is one of ma customers has a rolling road so that will help. Once i got them results take it from there. But as Rigram say and everyone else a cam is the way forward. But not sure i wanna go down that road. So might just look at maff less tunning.

Would a larger throttle body help with the maff less tunning?

If you dont want to open the engine or swap the heads then this is what Id do.

Port your stock throttle to improve flow
Fit 1.85:1 aftermarket roller rockers (And valve springs if possible with some nice beehives)
Get a mafless otrcai
Fit an underdrive crank pulley
Make sure you have a good exhaust 1.75 full length headers into dual 2.5" would suit stock setup.
With all that and a best effort tune you might hit 350rwhp, more likely 340rwhp max. If you can get more Id be well impressed.

Most full tune, intake and exhaust setups struggle to hit 320rwhp from the tune shops.. but then they dont do everything to eek out the best power, just the best profit smile
