ahh the clio, these things are very potent little b-road stormers!!!

if i had to have a hot hatch, it be a tough call between one of these are a ep3 type r.

yep too right! Actually Roger that trip got me back with the bug for track days so (the wife dont know) I am looking for a non-road legal car to do as a track special. Tow bar on the vxr8??

Yep - 182 with cup packs. Need to de-boyracer it a little, longer springs, quieten down the exhaust and get the wheels refurbished back to a decent colour but it goes, stops and handles brill! On a private road on the way home it pulled 145 leptons without much problem and thats with it needing a service! Its a little "french" inside but got it for a good price on an 05 plate so cant moan.
Just trying to find the stickiest rubber possible for it if anyone has any links... 205/45 x 16.

Nice little motor although I cannot help notice they are getting cheaper and smaller:
Merc->BMW M5->BMW 320D->Ford Mondy->Clio.

I think yoko's are better than the stock michelins on track, or there are road legal track tyres from Kumho or Hankook in that size.
