Yeah only at low speeds though.

Sounds like the dics are rubbing against the pads, had the discs skimmed but still problem persists so my only conclusion is wheel bearing??

You have the same problem then?

well the noise does seem to be coming from front passenger side, I have moved the front wheel by hand, cant feel any looseness, having the wheel off tomorrow see if I can find summat wrong, its quite a rumble and worse around 15mph you can hear a donking sound and probably every revolution, but does not get worse when cornering, normally if its wheel bearings it will get worse on cornering.

I've just aquired a copy of the GM EPC which covers pontiac gto, gm part number for gto item 11 in pic is 92077119 so may be the same number for Vauxhall

No definitly not that sort of noise, you can here it mainly at about 20mph turning or traveling in a straight line, seems to get more audible when it has travelled more than 20 miles, I can't find any looseness at all in the wheel bearings on the front, may have to look at rears just to rule them out.

Keeps the spring at the top of the front shock absorber, contained in the plate that performs that function. Between the body of the car and the top of the spring shock absorber assembly.
