Do many owners of these cars do their own servicing?

Just thought I would ask that question as there is very little on the forum about servicing and mechanical problems delt with.

Just wondered.

I like to do all the repairs and servicing as much as possible, atleast you know that it has been done properly and with loving care :-)

I do virtually all work myself has i trained has a vehicle technician, If not doing it myself got a good mate who is still on spanners.

I'm as good with a spanner as a garden slug. Consequently I regard the bonnet as a sealed for life unit, which I only allow grown ups to look into.

Servicing costs about 2p so many of us don't take that on. Bear in mind a lot of the time our cars are theoretically under warranty.

Some of the guys do the performance upgrades themselves. Others seem to have enough hobbies/interests already.

I mess around with stuff. Brakes pads, disks, intakes, rockers, throttles etc.
But the heavy stuff goes into the fish tank.

Id like to do more, but time and a useable work area are not available.

Oil changes are easy and I do them too. But Ive not done the servicing on my current vxr8 due to warranty requirements etc. But after she runs out in April 10 Ill be doing them again.
