Qwick question and iam sure it was up here recently but. What diff is on ma 04 Monaro is it a 3.4 diff and change it to a 3.9 or the other way about. Found a customer of mine who can do this work

3.42 IIRC I think the VXR model is 3.7
But Granada will know for sure.

yep, though 6.0 has 3.4 with shorter ratio gears giving equiv of a 3.9 from memory too just to confuse matters

Yes your 04 CV8 has a 3.46:1 unless it is an 04 VXR which has 3.7:1.

Consensus is to jump over a 3.7:1 and go for a 3.9:1 to improve the car.

Only the later 6 litre cars had the shorter gearbox ratios roughly equivalent to a 3.9 diff still using the 3.46 diff.

The tag is to tell you its an LSD. The diff ratio is on a white sticker on the side of the diff.

Saw the sticker the other day and it is 3.42 diff on the car
