Anyone have a spare block?

Ive got some forged pistons and rods to go in it too. Should be able to do something good on all of it

Thanks guys, I have mailed Wellfans but he is at the other end of the Country unfortunately. The one on eBay is just too pricey for what I am trying to achieve. Thanks for the offer on the heads, I am going to stay with my C4B heads for now.

Might not be so pricey as an all in package with rods and pistons
You wont get all thoses parts cheaper anywhere else. Especially with the current exchange rate.Or if you get an LS6 block...which all Monaros have BTW.
Ive a 4.0" Eagle crank, and Callies rods here. All you need is a set of pistons ( easy to source ) and you can have a 382/383 bore dependant. Dave at Performance Unlimited can supply a set of custom JE pistons and rings like I had been using on my 383.

Sadly not. Pistons are stock bore LS1.
Got a nice 4.1 inch forged crank i dont need anymore too though

LS2 heads will definately bolt right onto an LS1 block, its a common performance mod. I posted this before but some mutant deleted my comment!?
But aftershock has an LS2 already!

..Then clearly he has gone mad
LS2 heads will still be a straight swap onto an LS1 if anyone is after a mild performance upgrade... will work with LS6(1) intake and throttle etc too. But best done with a cam to avoid marginal gains.

Clearly I have lol, combination of too much work and travelling is bugger my train of thought up!
Think the best route for me is to drop some forged internals into my existing block then go from that point

Shouldnt that be in your LS3 engine!?
Nope! There are other plans
600bhp is so yesterday
I'm guessing it was Driver error

Do your sums dude.
IMO best to import, swap and sell off stock LS2. Then little to no downtime while rebuild is happening as its just a swap over.
Plus you get to hang onto the old engine for a month or so to make sure everything is settled down etc.
Are you NA or SC now? Either way go big
The marginal cost of the extra cubes now will be the cheapest bhp you get when labour etc is factored in.
But maybe exchange rate has changed things a little...
