You removed your original post from your magnaflow thread, a post where you claimed you had a change in circumstances so you were no longer wanting to buy the magnaflow back boxes. The reason you gave was that your old TVR had come back on the market and you were hoping to buy it so funds were going on that project.

Seemed legit, the sort of excuse that would pass off a supplier (Nemesis UK) that you were unable to complete the transaction on an order they had placed to ship the axel back silencers to you.

Probably knowing what you were up to, you deleted the original post in that thread (which at the time I thought was strange) yet tonight all became clear when you posted the thread up about your new performance pack from Walkinshaw:

They don't get much press on here but just had Walkinshaw fit their power pack, lowered spring kit and fog light shrouds to my VXR8.

Big thumbs up, much sharper handling and looks from spring swap.Improved slightly firmer ride is perfectly matched to dampers.Removes the horrible 4x4 style wheelarch gaps.

The power pack combining remap with air filter and exhaust has made a very impressive difference, much more urgent on the throttle and faster.
Nice not too loud V8 burble from the exhaust (zero drone)....

Didn't go for their bi-modal exhaust however in discussion it was interesting to understand that it uses Aston / Ferrari style OE vaccume controlled exhaust flaps that has no electronic motor etc.

Rather than lie to the forum about why you were no longer after the silencers you could have told the truth, only then you would probably have been liable to nemesis unless someone else was found to buy your backboxes and pay them. I am guessing that you mislead the forum intentionally as if you had said "actually guys, I no longer want the back boxes as they dont give me the sound I am looking for so its prob 500 quid down the drain, anyone fancy them" no one would have wanted to buy them.

Lucky escape on my part that Nemisis were not open on the saturday as I was driving past and as such had time to think about the purchase, where my money would be better spent and didnt place the order.

You are being called out on this one, I personally think your actions were pretty st to be honest but thats that.

So you cannot go and delete a thread or the post, I started this just to bring to others attention the sort of conduct you've carried out which is absolutely not in the friendly and honest nature of this sub-forum.

I think you made the point on the other thread. Does it really need a second thread opened about it? confused

You have nowt to apologise about apart perhaps from trying to needlessly victimise somebody on 3 seperate threads and being a hypocrite.

In short my intended TVR fell through as we couldn't agree on a sensible price, so I decided to pay out to change my insurer to one who would accept mods and went ahead with a previously arranged booking for a spring kit.

When getting the springs fitted I ended taking an exhaust and then a remap. At that point I assumed incorrectly that the individual who jumped at buying the promo exhaust had done so.

I didn't initially put 2 and 2 together but just noticed from the other thread that it was in fact you Stigmund who jumped in and said you were buying the promo exhausts which led to my assumption (and that of a few other forum members) that they had definately been sold.I now notice you then changed your mind after a few days.If I had been aware you hadn't proceeded then I would have taken them.

I have acted selflessly, a member of the forum got the benefit of the promo exhaust and the supplier and their product is now known.

Please take time to read and consider the above, you will then realise an apology is in order.

sorry benno its just to me it appared very misleading as to why you were not buying the backboxes then the next minute you have a full walkinshaw system. why it sounds all very suspect is you had delted your first post in the thread on selling the silencers (where you mentioned your supposed reason) then as soon as I posted last night on your walkinshaw thread you deleted your post in what would appear an attempt to remove it.

I'm prepared to be called an idiot by other members but to me it seems you just tried to mislead and cover up. Yes I was the one that was going to buy the silencers but they were shut and then I reflected and thought no, it was a bad move, something didnt ring true at all about your reasons and then when I checked the pipe sizes and other issues I made the conclusion it was probably not a good buy which is what I suspect you also had come to believe.

So where I am a hypocrite I'm not sure

What's up with the pipe sizing exactly?

Nothing its just another ignorant comment that shows a lack of understanding that the size and number of tailpipes protruding from the rear silencer has nothing to do with the diameter of the original exhaust tubling.

That was my take on it too. Stig's post on VXROnline made me wonder what he was thinking http://www.vxronline.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=...

Calm down guys!

I'm very grateful to Benno as it happens

I spoke to Guy at Nemesis on monday, he confirmed that he'd recieved an email asking to reserve the rear boxes so being a genuine bloke he said he'd put me second on the list if deal didn't go thru

Got call tue, saying they were now available, paid my money, recieved them next day as promised, fitted them yesterday eve, took about 30 mins, went straight on, no pipe mismatch, perfectly aligned in bumper cutouts & finished to a very high standard

Spent most of yesterday night driving around, sound is just right in my opinion, bit of a v8 burble at idle & a nice low bass growl when you accelerate smile

Saved myself 175 on the list price so i'm really happy Benno changed his mind for whatever reason

I'll post some pic's when I get a chance

Grow up both of you.. You're dumbing down what is otherwise a great forum. Haven't you noticed that the usually vocal contributors have nothing to say about your childish catfight? If it's just between you two; take it somewhere else.
