CV8 18" Alloy Wheels - Is there an offset difference?
Discussion
I have had my front wheel judder issues checked at Monkfish and long story short, they advised it does not seem to be mechanical (steering rack or bearings) and advised I either get the front wheels rebalanced (had them done twice already) or swap front tyres to back.
Can you do a straight front wheel to rear wheel swap? or do the front and rear alloys have different offset? i.e. I will have to get the rubber swapped?
Cheers.

Ok cool. Thanks Mark, I will ring em up and book it in. Front to back and four wheel balance are on the cards I think. Then I can wear down the remaining tread on the rears and get decent rubber on there down the line. No sense in forking out for new tyres to get rid of some wheel judder when there's plenty of tread left.
Not sure how I ended up with odd front tyres on there in the first place.

you may still find you have a small issue after getting them done because of the tyre wear ,,

Oh well, for £20 it's gotta be worth a shot. Thanks for the info.

Hi Tempy.... The juddering your getting, is that under braking or just at a certain speed? I get a bit of juddering when braking, it gets a bit worse when the discs are really hot, it does seem to have got worse ssince I had the new tyres fitted, perhaps I should have them rebalanced.

If its just under braking then its your brakes. Nothing to do with the wheels.
