I have it. With the front and rear done the car handles much better (I also have adjustable avo's and springs).

Downside is that at low speed it is a bit clunky - turned the car into quite a hard driver.

Not sure I would like it as a daily driver as pottering around I think I have gone too far although on a run it is damn good.

If you are in the south west I will take you out in it.

You do have the extra firm set up though. The rear end pac has the option of the firmer shims. This does make it more "hardcore"!

I wasn't expecting a big change just that the job was a worth while improvement. I was thinking of having the rear antiroll bar bushes done at the same time. I will keep the standard springs and shocks for a while yet.

i have the RRP and rear end pac and heavy duity drop links fitted at the same time and all i can say is wooooo. the differnece it made was great. the back end used to squirm and allmost feel like it was attached when cournering at high speed and now it just drives though it. i would deffently recommend getting it fitted. rides not harsh either. (im still on standard springs and shocks)

Hardcore probably sums it up quite well. I think the pac (with everything else) makes the rear more part of the car whereas before you did not quite know where the rear was as it would be floating about.

Makes more of a performance car but takes the comfort away a little.

Dont underestimate how poor the stock shocks are!

Monkfish, I was under the impression that the CV8's were fitted with Holden's 'FE2' sports suspension pack from the factory. This included gas pressure dampers/shock's so how come that they are so bad? Will mine be OK at just under 20,000 miles ?

IMO they are woefully underdamped. Seems to be a holden trait. You will be suprised just how much difference a good set of dampers will make. At 20K they will be passed there best but they probably still working OK. Just that OK isn't very good!
