Just looking for a little advice regarding this subject.
Currently have a monaro VXR which is running on 19’s with 245 - 35 - 19’s

I can get hold of some 265 - 30 - 19’s will these fit on the car.
If they do fit what potential problems should I be looking out for.

Is anyone running this size on their car or is running these without any problems

If they will not fit then I will stay with the 245 - 35 - 19’s

hi mate..

think you would be ok with 255 but 265 could be pusing it a bit

The reason I asked was that I viewed a post from GAS MAN and he actually had 265 - 30 - 19s on the back, would he have had to have the back arches modified to take these.
I did try a 255 on the car today it fitted quite well, but after talking to Roger at the fish and listening to what he had to say about it, I am now thinking about sticking with the 245's but I really don't know what to think, would it really mess the car up that much if I did change to the 255'

If you imagine that the best handling comes when your side wall is perfectly vertical (flush with the face of the wheel) when you put wider rubber on without actually increasing the wheel width the side wall will lean out from the wheel, thus making handling worse.

This is not so bad when using for drag, but everyday will mess up.

I've read somewhere on here before that that should be fine, not much difference in size.

Do they feel any different or were they on the car already ?
