Has anyone fitted these themselves, if so, did you have to change anything else at the same time? Am only going to change the springs at the mo. Also how much does it drop on Low and Super Low, and what camber settings did you use. Has anyone had any problems on the Super Low setting, I don't use the car as a daily driver but don't really want to ground it on ramps, speed bumps etc. Are they any other Springs on the market to compare against? Any advice / info greatly appreciated.

he went for low

tempy..

I sure did. I'm very happy with the kit and just having the low setting, which is still pretty low. I still bottom out if I litteraly do anything other than crawl over a speed bump, so super low would be no good for me as a daily driver.

007 vxr....

mine is even lower on hsd coilovers, can not get finger under front wheel arch and just get finger in over back wheel ...ok with most things but do have to be very careful ...no ramps 2mph over speed bumps , also have wortec cats which stick out more under the car

some comment from other thread biggrin

I assume we are talking Monaro? Not a difficult task, though the strut top bearing will probably "self dismantle" and ball bearings will spread themselves over the floor!

Superlow does compromise your bump travel, its inevitable at that hieght, but it is cool, and if your like me and run everything low, you soon get used to steering round dead insects A bit more camber will do no harm either.

If you have a CV8 then you really need some dampers, hence we dont offer this setup as a package. With VXR, its better, but dampers will improve it nonetheless.

It will be on a Monaro VXR, sorry!. So can you get away lowering the car without changing the camber setting? Won't this wear the inside of the tyres?

You will need to reset toe at both front and rear. Rear camber will change slightly, but as it non adjustable and it will only be a small amount, dont worry. The front however you will need to do as the very act of removing the front struts will lose you camber setting. This will need to be adjusted after fitment when doing the alignment.

I have the super low setting and don't go into multi storey car parks anymore or anywhere that has a ripple in the tarmac.

I have the larger headers and sportcats too so the space underneath is smaller still.

I find it easy to ground out so always have to keep my eyes peeled - annoying but I do like the look. cool
