Well it's been a month now since gaining ownership. Do you lot ever stop smiling or just looking out the window? This has got to be the one car that has been an amazing purchase. A slight niggle with the fast indicator but all sorted now. Another slight problem that may disappear soon is that in a morning when I have been working nights I have "WAS £21,995, NOW £20,995" in dew on the front screen. I have tried everything to remove it to no avail. So I rang Hartwell who said they use one of those white trainer polish things with the sponge on. The only thing I have found will remove it is T-cut, but that makes the screen the same as the lettering, and not the lettering the same as the screen, if you can see what I mean. I am affraid at this moment some coating or something may be coming off. Any ideas? Shall I go ahead with the T-cut?

Back to the car. All the usual superlatives apply. When going from Bradford to Pentagon in Rochdale, not once have I taken the M62, but the A58 over the moors, and what a drive. I also wish I had got this car when I was 18, I may have got more girl attention biglaugh Do not buy this car if you don't want attention. No-one mentioned that just about everyone wants to talk to you about it. Even came back to car one day and one lad was having his photo taken next to it.

Petrol wise. Who cares, I didn't buy a prius.

Just bought myself a brand new set of wheels and tyres off ebay for the tyres so may soon have a set of wheels for sale if anyone interested.

Couple of questions. Does the forum resize images for the page? I will post some piccies if it does. Are we allowed to post links to ebay auctions (not mine but a heads up for someone who may be interested)

Thanks guys (and Mel) for all the advice on an excellent purchase. beer

No coating. Try Autoglym Glass Polish if you are concerned. Can't see T-Cut having any effect on the glass though.

Enjoy the car.

Yup, they were on when I bought it. It has a "walkinshaw performance" sticker on the boot I am going to try and remove when I have the confidence and time, and maybe hairdryer to warm it, as I don't seem to have one since all my hair fell out. biggrin

I've been a bit frustrated with mine recently, or more accurately, with the complete lack of decent support from the nations Vauxhall dealer network. However, every time I turn the key I smile without fail.

Just the other night, Halloween it was, I was driving home and I there was a large group of teenagers on the pavement dressed in masks and costumes etc. As I approached, I got a collection of thumbs up and "scary" poses and noises etc, so as I passed by, I presented them with a heavy application of right foot, and I recieved a simultaneous scream from what must have been all the girls in the group. I actually laughed out loud.

A thought that has crossed my mind. scratchchin I have even tried some un-diluted pro-flex roller cleaner from work that usually takes no prisoners.
