We really want an LS3 but as a second car an LS2 would be ok i suppose

which i've we both think is an awesome car, very highly spec'd but at £18K and five years old (MOT's ) 61K on the clock and only 17mpg its not really practical I've said for an extra 4K we could have a virtually new VXR8 with super low mileage, warranty and no MOT plus better mpg it makes sense

The top one is about 20 miles from me. If you're serious about it, and want me to go and kick the tyres for you, you only have to ask.

Wait till next year mate. The first ones will be coming off warranty starting from April 2010. They should be down in the £15k range by then for an LS2. Also Id hang out for an LS3 if possible, they probably wont go as low, but should be around £20k by then.

I dont think Col would want to wait Rich. We think we'll want to go ahead as soon as three week's as long as i keep Col in this frame of mind My dad would be having the Merc and selling his BMW and really we want all that done before Christmas. Its like the Ro, if we'd have waited we'd have saved a couple of grand but its about living for now.

LS2 = Legacy Failure (2004->2006). LS3 = Latest and greatest (2007+)

We'll see next year when its Bonnie verses Clyde. See we had to buy a VXR8 just to find out which is the quicker as my Racing partner is too scared to turn up to any drag days

I fear such a race is seriously flawed as in one car you have bonnie aka "eat the clutch" and in the other you have clyde aka "where's 2nd gear"

once you ahve the r8, you will only want to drive that - trust me its that much better place to be in
