My car does not like this stuff at all, anyone else noticed any difference?
Will be going back to Shell from next fill up, which wont be long!

I find its not pulling nearly as hard, idle is rougher, throttle response not as crisp.

Tesco 99 is good ... however fuel can go off, so don't visit a little used station ....

Might indeed be a bad batch, not had a problem in any other cars. 355 loves the stuff.
Will report back on findings.

Hi Guys,

SHELL all the way every time.

1. Cheaper then the super market forecourts

2. Contains aLL the added extras that Robmarket fuel doesn't

3. Performance and Economy is spot on

No Association with Shell

So far this week, one tank of Sainsury's best (£1.09 Devon), one tank of Shell (£1.20 Woodall Services), One tank of Tesco £1.15 Evesham) and it is all the same as far as I can tell. Used the lot tank at a time and I cannot see any difference even when using it back to back. All hurts the wallet just the same!

I would say that its all the same stuff, Tesco don't refine their own petrol as do Shell, so Tesco must get it from somebody who do refine it for them??? Many years back i worked at the Shell refinery at Canvey Island and all the supermarket suppliers used to pull up at the Texaco bit next door ( i know before somebody jumps in that Texaco isn't Shell but its just highlighting the issue)...

I once filled up with 90 octane 'moped' petrol by mistake in Germany - didn't notice any difference at all, although by this time I was off the Autobahn and only on country roads. Might have been a different story if I was straight back on the Autobahn at 160 mph +
