At a motor show back in the early eighties I fell for a hand built coupe called the Bitter SC. Basically an Opel senator gone yuppie. Gold plated instruments, roushed kid glove leather, trimmed in rainforest. I'd have given my red braces and filofax for one back then.

Anyway, for some reason, I googled it tonight and found this.

"The $200,000 modified German-Australian vehicle isn't expected to be built in large quantities, ensuring it's rarity."

Too right!

Thanks - found it. Seems to me that if you want to completely f*ck up a perfectly well designed and good looking car, get this Bitter bloke to 'mod' it.
All of his 'creations' are absolute vomit

Don't honestly know how hes kept going !! Thought it all ended with the Bitter Coupe all those years ago.

They all seem to end up looking the same.

The weird thing for me is that he seems keen to tamper with bodywork of already great looking cars and then does little or nothing about the cars interior. Now the only weak link in the car for me is the less than european quality of the interior plastics which Bitter unfathomably makes worse by adding garish plastic 'wood'.
