Right Col and I have been discussing what to do with regards the Mods on the VXR8. We were going to go just go Sports Pack (catback remap Air mod and K&N) But after hearing the Red Bathurst with Wortec Headers yesterday Col wants those also. So the question is is there going to be much of a gain both in power and noise with the Wortec Headers over stock LS3????????

TIA

mels after power and noise but yesterday would suggest that £ = dB, the days of the massive gains to be hand on the original cv8s appear to be behind us

her car is 40 ft/lb more than she used to have which is great. Thats fantastic even for an ls1 NA with no internals changed. For me my own figures have more than nailed the coffin on any ideas for headers/exhaust. I spent ££££ on the last setup and I simply cannot see how nearly 4k for an exhaust+headers is worth it unless you're after noise.

Mel why not speak to someone like ringram about a twin 3" setup. I think the wortec ones are 2.5"

Thanks for all the advice again guys clap Your Legendsbow GSD Col just wont look at anything other than Wortec. He loves them and i must say so do i lick The sound that came out of the Red Bathurst Saturday Col recons was awesomecloud9
Stig your right we are after sound more than BHP but a little bit more Torque makes all the difference.
I was not happy with my HP figures but the torque was great and we sure feel it when driving. I love these carsnuts

Speak to roger maybe they could make a larger one for you. I know ringram says that the stock vxr8 exhaust is good enough unless you go larger

Dont forget the vxr8 is an HSV and has headers and exhaust on it as shipped. Its not noisy because its not supposed to be. Doesnt mean it doesnt perform though.
Dont forget I had 360rwhp at SRR last time with just an cold intake and rockers on an otherwise totally stock LS2. Probably a £600 investment which outperforms all of the tuned & exhaust fitted LS3's
You dont have to do much if you are on a budget to get some good power out of the stock setup.

I'm glad someone else appreciates the "not-so-subtle" soundtrack I seem to have invested in..

One downside - I passed a lady in a golf at full chat; and she swerved out the way. Perhaps she thought the world had ended. It's easy to forget just how loud these cars can be.

Next for me is upgrading the rear anti-roll bar.. then I can be loud in corners too.driving
