Hi, is there any way to adjust the beam angle for the front fog lights?

i ask this because when i put them on i can hardly see any difference. the other day i has driving home in fog, i put them on and they hardly lit the side of the road. it's not that i'm a short ar5e (i'm 6'6" see pic attached) and get a pretty good view of the road a few feet infront of my bonnet.

any help would be great. cheers

Nic.

Must admit I put mine on the other day for the first time this year and didn't notice. I had to get out and check they worked.

Hi Nic, The front fogs are not adjustable, they are fixed, but to be honest, I was playing with mine the other night on my drive to actually see if they worked and if I knew how to turn them on !!! Mine seemed very bright and made a vast improvement altho no fog around.

They are bright enough, I just think the beam is at the wrong angle. I have come to the conclusion that they are for show.
When i put them on in the fog there was a haze of light but no real benifit. guess the aussies don't have fog!

The 05> VXR fog lights are not ajustable like a headlamp is but i believe the whole lamp unit has a small amount of adjustment when fitting into the bumper via sloted holes, so loosen the four screws at the rear of the lamp and redirect the lamp unit

I always thought that fog lamps don't have a 'beam' as such. The lens is supposed to create a diffused light, which helps light the whole area in certain foggy conditions - not all.

If you are experiencing a reflection off the fog, then no matter how you angle the lamp, it will not light your way.

I fitted HID's in mine, and they are 5 times brighter than the headlamps, worth every hole I cut in them to fit the bulbs. They do have a beam too.

Is it worth taking pics of your car at the moment? I take 1 set for you...you change the number plate. I take a few more to ammend the change and you put new wheels and go and stick terry's chocolate orange wrapper to it!!! what's next?

maybe you should start a new thread 'what i'm doin next to make nic's photos out of date'bangheadwink

The way it's been lately, the pics will be out of date before you download them from your camera.
