t350 fire extinguisher

Thought it would be wise to get an extinguisher. Thinking of screwing it onto the rear right wheel arch between so it sits between the rear seat and roll cage. I assume its safe to screw in here?
Any other options? I don't want to put in front of seats as I need them to be able to slide. Don't have enough space between seats and doors on the sides. Passenger footwell is not an option either as I have long legs and need space for rare times I'm sat there!

Insurance man........Big enough insurance policy for replacement and all 8 of my vehicles can go up in flames. But then again I have had my eye on something very nice and could probably be able to recreate as big of a grin in it that 2 of our 3 TVRs produce. Even with TVRs past history with fires, we painted "Ghost Flames" on my Spousal Units Taimar and our 2 daughters supercharged 2500M. We are just pushing the envelope a touch and we have them all insured for replacement and it will be hard to replace any of them where we live.DumDum said:

+1They used to be fitted as std in BMW's before the cost cutting started, never used it on mine but I did use it on other peoples!
I think they should be fitted as standard!
BTW I fitted mine with cables ties to the seat adjuster, I'll take some pictures. You can still use the adjuster.

Even with TVRs past history with fires, the factory fire in the 70s and all those pictures on the internet of TVRs on fire on the side of the road.

Ghost flames can be seen only in certain angles when looking at a paint job as it is a hidden picture of flames in the paint job. Send an e-mail to (aleppard@hotmail.com) with something TVR related in the subject line and I will send pics of our ghost flames.
We are just pushing the envelope a touch and we have them all insured for replacement and it will be hard to replace any of them where we live.We live on the far west side of Canada in Alberta and we know of a total of 7 TVRs in our province (about the size of England) and we own 3 of them so the insurance company would have a hard time replacing or repairing any of the cars if something were to happen to them so we have them insured for their replacement costs and that would be a nice pay off in cash to us.
On this side of the pond we have a way of saying things that people in other countries just can't understand what point we are trying to say. I have the same problem trying to understand some of the sayings from the UK but I do have an ex Pat buddy down the street from me who moved over from the UK about 3 years ago who translates for me.
Then again you may not have understood my poor communication skills and how I was joking about a need of mounting a fire extinguisher in a TVR by the original poster of this thread.
The other possible reason for you stating that you didn't understand my post is You were trying to wind up a Colonist just for the fun of it.
You did state a good fact about fire extinguishers being a good item to carry in any car/vehicle.

I totally agree with you about it being handy BUT with the right amount of coverage/payout on my insurance, I might be tempted to just let it burn.........Here in western Canada the insurance company would have a hard time trying to obtain parts for a repair so the payout would be better for me..
If my car has anything more than a tiny short ciruity/smoldering/fire then I would not be able to put it out with one of these tiny extinguishers. Only a fully plumbed system will stop serious engine bay fires. However, I do like to think that if I am carrying one and I see someone in trouble I may be able to help them out.
