Locking the car with alarm disabled

Any way I can do this? Car is currently up on axle stands while I carry out some work. Everytime one of the cats walks under it the alarm is set off. I would really rather not leave it unlocked though if possible. Have done a search on here but not found the answer.

Press the door lock button on the dash with one of the doors open then close the door. All locked but no alarm set. Just unlock as normal with the fob.

You could unplug the microwave sensor or turn it the right way up? don't understand why/how it should detect under the car it should be facing upwards or towards the rear of the car end on.

email me if you don't know where the sensor *should* be located so you can adjust if you want.

I thought you just kept the fob button pressed until lights flashed twice . Am i wrong on this .
If you lock the doors from the dash with a door open does that also set the immobiliser or just lock doors and boot .

Yes holding the button just de-activates the alam/imobilzer the doors will still open.
the way I mentioned locks the doors, imobiliser will activate but not the microwave

Just tried this but doesn't seem to be working. Doors still open as per usual

Just tried with mine and yes doors still open if use the long push two flashes method .
Tried the door open method and while the boot and passenger door remain locked the drivers door is open .

Ok tried again. Drivers door open and press the button. Passenger door and boot locked but drivers door still opens.

Doesn't the immobiliser set itself automatically after 30 seconds or so?

Sorry, thats not helping on the locking the doors front, but I'm tending to leave mine in a locked garage with the lid off and alarm unset at the moment thinking its ok as the immobiliser will have kicked in..
