Hi Kev

When I was looking into new exhausts for mine a while back, I looked at all the pics I could find of this one and decided it wasn't really something that I wanted.

It might be better in real life, but looking at the pics available up close, it did not 'do-it' for me (it looked like something out of Alien too much for me to like it).

I found that the Carbon Cam exhausts looked a lot (and sounded) a lot better to me.

Of course, this is all just my personal opinion and does not reflect anything on the actual RG product itself, so feel free to take it or leave it smile

Hi Alex
Saw your Sag at Chatsworth, cut out slats looked good, looked like a top quality bit of work.

Didnt notice the cans you had on, what difference do they make to the sound?

Cant make my mind up on the RG ones from the pics I have seen so far, have the standards and some Blueflame cans but fancy having another option especially if they give a deeper sound.

Hi Kev

Here is a pic of the cam on one side up close.

They are modeled on the Tuscan ones and give of the same burbling sounds & popping sounds but not as much as you can get from a Tuscan.

Must admit, I was more interested in looks that how loud they were smile

They still sound better than the originals, but not too loud if you get what I mean. When I had a Tuscan, the sounds of the exhaust were nice, but on a 2-3 hour drive, you wanted them to shut up b/c they made you... nuts

Thanks

Hi Alex

Thanks for that they suit your colour scheme well,I had Carbon cans when I had my Tuscans but personally I found them to be a bit tinny (each to their own I know)so sold them on.

Like the looks of the Blueflames I have now but want something which is much basier/ deeper more along the lines of the TVR Power supersports exhausts for the T350.
Think I may go down the route of having some made by someone like Hayward and Scott so I can get the look and the sound.

STR8SIX and ACT (or JP Exhausts, can't quite remember which) are in the middle of developing a complete system for the Sagaris which will have better flow (less restricted), increased bhp and will sound much more like the low base burble of the Tuscan. Personally I'm going to wait for the system to become available, at which point I will then try out different cans. IMO the RG slash cut ones look too gawdy and do not compliment the Sagaris at all. The tri-colour titanium sleeved BlueFlame look and sound much better, but I don't think you can get them anymore. I suspect they've gone pop as the telephone number just plays hours of classical music. Pity, as these would have been my choice.

Hi Mark

Those are the blueflame ones I have got, looks wise they work really well with the Laser Blue of the Sag, just want the tone to be a bit baseier (if thats a real word) may even see about getting them rebuilt by one of the specialists as I am sure if they can make a Saxo sound deeper then they can work wonders with a Sag.

Clive

Saw a couple of Sags with those on at Chatsworth and have to say they dont do it for me,no offence meant as we all like different things.Coming from Str8six I am sure the quality is top notch but personally I like something which fills the space a bit better.
Having only seen and not heard them what effect do they have on the sound?

unsilenced gives a slightly bassier note, the silenced version very quiet, 97db at 4000 rpm both on mine, and tvrtuscans sag.

Presumably the bassier note comes from what looks to be larger diameter pipework within the can.

Seen a couple of Sags with the RG twin/slashed pipes.... Mickey Mouse exhaust if you ask me - detract from the class of the original Sag exhaust.. just my opinion of course..

Hi Matthew

What effect does the RG exhaust give in comparison to the standard system.

By the way fantastic coloured Sag.

Any chance of some pics of the rear of your car to get a better idea on how the system looks please.

I like them because you don't get the boomy resonance around 3000rpm that the standard pipes give but they are very raspy and will not appeal to all. Every where I go they do get a lot of attention and everyone asks about them. I have added a link from the goodwood supercar Sunday thread as I don't have a picture to hand on my phone.

Hi Kev

Why don't you have a chat with Tim from ACT, he is the only TVR licenced seller for JP Exhausts. He's making a big bore exhaust system and rather nice looking shark nose cans for my Tusc, as I also wanted a deeper, bassier tone to the exhaust, which he said their system provides.

I think the shark nose cans they are making for me are very similar to the one's Graham Varley's got on his Sag.

Would love a pair of these but they don't make the multi coloured ones anymore.

Has anyone got a pair of these for sale?

I bumped into tim a couple of weeks ago and he said this new sag exhaust is almost ready, it's a shame but it will not work along side my RG exhaust as he said it would be too loud :-(
