I'm having troubles with my boot release and have narrowed the issue down to the actual push button. The button appears unservicable - anyone aware of a replacement part no.??

I'm assuming Maplins or RS will have something - but as i'm not going to beable to get to either of those until Tuesday, I thought i'd ask on here - see if anyones had a similar issue?

Thanks

Have you had the badge off and had a look? Mine started playing up a couple of weeks back. Turned out to be a rubber pad that was glued to the back of the badge to depress the button had become unstuck and slipped out of place. Easy 5 min fix.

Thanks thats useful to know - I have seen a nice flush chrome button - In which case, I may relocate the button to between the Number Plate lights. I believe this is a common 'mod'

Yep - its definately the button - i've had the lot apart. The badge depresson seems ok and made contact with the switch. Had a multimeter on the back of the switch to see if contact was made when the switch was manually depressed (badge off) - it didn't, hence being a button issue. I presume the internals have corroded.
(and to be doubly sure, shorted the solinoid wires and the boot release activated)
