Evening all,

Does anyone know if it is fairly straightforward to remove and reseal the diff rear cover in situ?

Mine is weeping oil slightly onto the exhaust.

Cheers,

Mick

Just had the diff out of mine for painting, cover bead blasting and new bolts.I also had the tank out for polishing.I would say removing the cover in situ would be possible with the tank removed but a pig of a job without. If you have to drop the diff out,put some protective tape on chassis cos the diff is quite heavy and you have to turn it on its side to lower it out.I would also order new prop nuts/bolts cos you will probably round the nuts getting them off.which ever way you do it,you will have to undo the top diff mount which is usualy knackered. The bush is a press fit into chassis and is a git to get out.Been told one trick is to split the bush sleeve with a grinder, remove bush then weld sleeve back up,very rougharse and not the way I did mine.Replacing bush is easy with two piece polybush
