I`ve had my eye on one of Raceproved`s fancy cam covers for a while now, so ordered one from Russell when we were up for the Chatsworth weekend.
I couldn`t decide on which colour to have from his `in stock` range, when Russell offered to have one sprayed in cascade indigo to match the colour of the sag, and the result is stunning, a very nice quality bit of kit, with rubber gasket on the engine face, and on the spark plug cover.

I couldn`t afford to go the hole 9 yards and have the pre oiler kit as well, the mrs was with me at the timehehe
but Russell advised on still having an oil feed into the cam cover as a precaution against any possible over heating issues damaging the nice paintwork, best be safe than sorry, so, I also had the small oil filter unit which I mounted underneath the top of the chassis in front of the engine, and used a fitting to allow me to T off of the oil supply coming out of the oil cooler with the nice stainless steel braided hoses supplied with the kit.

So all in all a nice tidy simple install, and the new cover looks the dogs dangliesyes

oil filter tucked under chassis;-

Clive - where were you all day ?? I hung around your car a few times, never saw you ! Same for you Matt - I think big name badges are required for future reference (my cascade indigo Sag had to be parked slummin it in Bronze frown

Matt - I do need a new PC screen - yours is definitely cascade violet !

Clive - lovely engine bay - have you done all that yourself ? Polishing, Silicone pipes, and the Cam Cover looked superb. What else have you done under the bonnet ?

hi Mike, I was either watching the stuff on track or chatting in the traders area, I did pop back and fire it up a few times for people to listen to.

yes done all the work myself, plus the stainless steel power steering bracket, exhaust mods, and skid plate under the front nose.

I think I can be the guilty one as I drove Clive mad about the exhaust options on my Sag. Hopefully we will have a new sound soon.
