After a combined 7 years of TVR ownership, something finally went wrong. The alternator has died, so it's in at Racing Green.... I wonder how much more money I can spend there? I understand their new extra engine upgrade was unveiled today...Hmmmmmm..... biggrin

That wasn't your recovery truck in the car park at around 4pm?

I'd spent a lovely day there with a mate. After a two hour drive home and now sitting in the garden waiting for the BBQ he is still chuckling.

The car looks good - shame it did not make the journey. Yep a much better way of holding the bonnet, it was at racing green that I saw catches like that.

Cheers - real shame, but hey ho.

As for the catches, I'd prefer them to be sanded and body coloured, otherwise they just stand out like balls on a dog....

Hopefully in the Sag, but we'll see what happens with RG... More work may be 'needed'.... <ahem>

If not, then I'll be there in something else!

That's a stunning colour. Really suits the car.

Those bonnet catches look interesting. Might be useful on the T350 too, it flaps around at high speed.

btw, nothing looks better than a TVR on a low loader! Think of it as a fashion parade.

Cheers Tim. I know greys are a bit 'weapon-ish', and I was going for an orange one, but I saw it and fell in love/lust... Hopefully we'll catch up on the roads soon.
Kieran, I'll be running with the PN crew up there - you in with us, or with another group?

the sag at racing green with those clips is mine, i really like them as a function, the only way to improve them in my opinion would be for them to be metal rather then plastic, it does make getting the whole bonnet off stupidly easy

Hello there Paul - did RG do those clips? I can't remember if they are flush on the body - that and body coloured would be my preference.

they're very slightly raised from memory maybe a couple of mm, the conversion was done before i got the car so i'm not sure who did it. The plastic itself is a hard abs kind, i can see no reason why it couldn't be sanded smooth and then painted body colour. The car is at racing green at the moment until i pick it up next week so feel free top have a look and get them to show you how it works

If you watch the video it says they can be painted, also they do one that is more flush bonded under the bonnet

there was a trader selling those clips at goodwood, £49 each I think, but can`t for the life of me remember who it was, lol.

Ah, think it was a classics something or other, also selling wooden steering wheels, car covers and wing protectors.
