Thanks to the gent in the Orange Sagaris, sorry forgotten your name already, for letting my partner sit in your car and convince her that an upgrade from the Elise to a T350 might be a good idea.

Just need to find one that I like now. Any recommendations on what i should look for / avoid ?

Without meaning to sound rude, have a search.

The topic has been covered literally hundreds of times.

Well if you take a search, you will see the numerous times people have posted similar.

If you have any specific queries, e.g. about a specific car and the spec, then people are very willing to help - but a general 'what shall I look for' does get boring tbh after it has been answered for the hundredth time by members here.

There was a good T350 buying guide in Evo magazine a couple of years ago - happy to scan and send it to you if that helps.

Aside from that, decide whether you are after a T or a C and then it's all the usual stuff to be honest. Good service history from reputable experts / dealers, tidy car etc.

Early speed six engines (pre-2004) without a rebuild can be suspect so I'm lead to believe.

Clutches are good for 20k or thereabouts (mine is still on original at 22k) - difficulty getting into gear (2nd etc) can be a sign - reverse usually requires 5th first anyway.

Engine mounts also seem to be a weak spot, especially if car has been used a lot in town/traffic.

Lots of info on the forums if you search as has already been stated.

My own experience is that they seem to benefit from regular use, mine had hardly been used for two years when I bought it and consequently I had nearly all the usual electrical gremlins over first couple of months but since then and mechanically has been fine.
