just done this job on the sag, cut through the silicon, there were 3 screws on the flange at the bottom facing the engine, and another screw hidden round the corner where the heater hoses enter the box, then gently prise it free to break any silicon still sticking.

I need to adjust my Aircon/Heater setup... only seems to work and produce cold air at 70mph !
What does one use to re-seal ? And where does one get it from ??
Thanks Clive.

cheers clive must have missed the 3rd screw, will give it a go later
have improved the airflow to the drivers vent by plugging the gaps between the fan ducts under the passenger footwell about 25mm gaps in places, its still not all it should be so i want to check the evaporator coil as the air appears to be unfiltered, so petty sure i will find the coil clogged up

have you got any pics of where these gaps are that you filled?

I `ve just put a new flapper motor on mine but even though I can now feel the difference between hot and cold, the amount of air on the drivers side doesn`t seem so good.

What do you mean by not good?

I believe even when fully working it's not exactly forceful!

clive

drivers footwell
reach up inside (its not easy to see or take a photo)
where the vent comes through the bulkhead & meets the tube to feed the vents you will feel the gap
put the fans on max & shut all the vents you will feel the air coming out of the gaps

just to add I`ve been in the garage this evening and checked this out, air blowing out around 75% of the area shown in the pic, now packed out with sikaflex, thanks.
